Lauren is from Pensacola Beach, Florida. She has been inspired to go to Georgia Tech every since she was in kindergarten by her very successful big brother who also went to Tech. Through freshman year, brother Meena Balasubramaniam, or Lauren's roommate, was highly involved with Phi Sigma Pi. This is who introduced the fraternity to Lauren. Lauren knew several of the brothers at the time and decided in Fall 2010 to rush. When she was inducted, her life changed. Phi Sigma Pi contributed greatly to her college life and sometimes she doesn't know what she would do if it were not for her brothers. She also currently serves as Fellowship Chair to the Epsilon Theta Chapter.
