Early Fraternity Life and Career
Vincent began his studies in September 2005 and rushed for Phi Sigma Pi spring semester 2007 of his sophomore year. He was inducted into the Chi Pledge Class of Beta Upsilon on May 3, 2007. Right after pledging he went abroad for an entire academic year teaching ESL in Beijing, China, becoming Nationally Inactive. He returned to UMass in fall 2008 as an Active Brother.
Collegiate Years at Beta Upsilon Chapter
- Vincent served in the Alumni Committee in fall 2008.
- Vincent was co-captain of the Phi Sigma Pi spring and fall 2009 volleyball teams.
- Vincent served as Historian for the 2009 calendar year. As historian during the spring semester, Vincent established what he hopes will be an annual National Founder's/Valentine's Day Dinner. After the tragic loss of Jamie Bergstein's chapter family tree, Vincent rebuilt the tree and organized it through the creation of family names and colors. He also worked on Beta Upsilon's second annual yearbook and is active in updating and maintaining the Beta Upsilon section of the Wiki. In this semester he created the Historical Committee to help maintain and fill in areas of the chapter's history, which has since evolved into the Records Committee.
- As Historian during the fall 2009 semester Vincent worked with the Historical Committee to plan a bio-sheet making party for the initiates. He updated and maintained the family tree, and tried to keep up with documenting events to preserve in future scrap books.
- For the spring 2010 semester, Vincent served alongside Ashley Kumlin as the Service Co-Chair. Together the pair planned various service events, such as Relay for Life, volunteering for the Boston Marathon, collecting loose change for the Suicide Prevention Hotline, and a semesterly trip to the Arbors.
- Vincent was captain of the Phi Sigma Pi spring 2010 softball team.
