Amos Eshel (born 23 April 1986) is an Alumnus Member of Gamma Epsilon Chapter (ΓΕ 514) at University of Florida.

Early Fraternity Life

Amos joined Phi Sigma Pi after meeting a few brothers through his older (biological) brother Oded Eshel (also a member of the Gamma Epsilon chapter). Meeting the amazing people in Fall '04, his first semester in college, made the decision to rush Phi Sigma Pi a simple one. Amos rushed Spring '05 (his freshman year), making him a member of the Pi Class.

Collegiate Years at Gamma Epsilon Chapter

Amos has held the following positions in Phi Sigma Pi:

  • Fall '05: Rush Co-Chair
  • Spring '06: Rush Co-Chair
  • Fall '06: Fundraising Chair & Regional Delegate
  • Spring '07: Inter-Chapter Relations Co-Chair & Regional Delegate
  • Fall '07: Inter-Chapter Relations Chair & Regional Delegate
  • Spring '08: Inter-Chapter Relations Co-Chair & Regional Delegate
  • Fall '08-Spring '09: President

Amos planned the 2007 & 2008 GET SLAM'Ds (themes: Around the World & Through the Ages respectively).

In Spring 2006 he ran for Treasurer against his soon-to-be roomate Christina Waxlax and lost. The following Spring he again ran for Treasurer and lost to his little Rachel Kramer. In Spring 2008, Amos ran for president and was elected, he served in the office during his 5th year of college (Fall '08-Spring '09). He has been heavily involved in all aspects of the fraternity since his induction, more often than not going to E-Board meetings as well as keeping an ear to everything that is going on, even without having been on E-Board.

Alumni Years

After graduating in May 2009, Amos moved to Seattle (specifically Redmond) to work for Microsoft. At Microsoft he is a Software Development Engineer (aka programmer), on the Windows team where he arrived right at the start of development on Windows 8.
