Clair B. Wilson (born 1887) is an Alumni Member of Kappa Chapter (Κ 10) at California University of Pennsylvania.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Clair B. (Byers) Wilson recognized the need to encourage the learning of our fraternity's history, traditions, and organizational structure in a standard format. He transformed his ideas into the Handbook of Phi Sigma Pi.

After graduating from Lock Haven Normal School (now known as Lock Haven University) in 1910, he served as a Rural School Teacher, High School Principal, and Assistant County Superintendent of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He also worked on the Faculty at Clarion State Normal School (now known as Clarion University of Pennsylvania) in Clarion, Pennsylvania (1919-1925). At Clarion he was Dean of Men, Director of the Training School and Head of the Education Department.

He married Helen G. Mills in June 1925.

He completed his Master's degree at Ohio State University in 1926. His Master's Thesis was titled, 'A comparison of seven standardized reading tests and a study of their uses'. He was also a graduate of Grove City College (year and degree unknown).

In 1926 he went to the State Teachers College of California where he served as Head of the Education Department at, specializing in Special Education. He held certifications as a Psychological Examiner and as a Public School Psychologist.
