The family was created during the Spring 2012 semester when founder Robbie Cusella received his first little, [[Eleni Kaltsidou]]. Originally Alpha Rho Gamma was named Sigma Sigma Phi; however, during the Fall 2013 semester a rebranding of the family resulted in a new name and theme.
