The 2006 Grand Chapter Conference was held July 27-30 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. The conference was notable for the celebration of Phi Sigma Pi's 90th Anniversary with a tour of the University of Central Missouri (then Central Missouri State University) hosted by Alpha Chapter, and a brief visit to the grave sites of Founding Fathers Eldo L. Grand Chapter Business
National Constitution Amendment Proposals
The Grand Chapter considered twenty-six proposals of amendment to the National Constitution. Of these, fifteen focused on National Constitution Article IV and covered a wide range of topics relating to Membership including resignation/expulsion, requisite collegiate work for Membership eligibility and minimum GPA requirements.
Election Procedures Amendment
The Grand Chapter adopted a new Article to the National Constitution, as National Constitution Article VII, which codified the procedures used in election of the National Council.
Alumni Delegate Voting
Alumni Delegates were granted the right to vote in national elections.
Election of the 44th Empowered National Council
The Election of the 44th Empowered Council was in large part the affirmation of five unopposed candidates, of whom three were already serving in the office to which they were elected.
