- The fraternity adopts its second official song called "Brother", written by Alpha Rho Alumnus Ted Daniels.
- The current Chapter Region system was adopted.
- The Alpha Gamma Chapter is found guilty of hazing and is the first Chapter to be suspended by the National Council.
- Omega Chapter goes inactive.
- Beta Theta Chapter goes inactive.
