The conference was notable for the celebration of Phi Sigma Pi's 90th Anniversary with a tour of the University of Central Missouri (then Central Missouri State University) hosted by Alpha Chapter, and a brief visit to the grave sites of Founding Fathers Eldo L. Election of the 44th Empowered National Council

The Election of the 44th Empowered Council was in large part the affirmation of five unopposed candidates, of whom three were already serving in the office to which they were elected: Joshua Marder (Vice President of Finance), Patrick Herron (Vice President of Membership Development, Jonah Goodman (Vice President of Alumni Development). National President Candidate Colleen Dougherty was affirmed by the Grand Chapter. Dougherty had previously served as Vice President of Chapter Development. National Secretary candidate Joshua Coonrod was affirmed as well. Vice President of Chapter Development incumbent Erik Walschburger was re-elected over fellow candidate Shane Miller. Senior Vice President candidate Lisa Ambrosia Howard, serving as the National President, won election over freshman candidate Matthew Nicoletta.
