Chapter Events & Activities
August 2012: The Chapter will be represented in Grand Chapter for the first time by the president and vice president! The Chapter is sending a total of five members to represent the Chapter at National Convention.
September 2012: The majority of the members of SAAC came together to enjoy a fantastic dinner and a movie. This event was considered a scholarship themed event based on The Hunger Games. Attendees were encouraged to read at least the first book of the series prior to attending the event. Each member cooked and brought a dish inspired by recipes from The Unofficial Cookbook of The Hunger Games. While dining on the scrumptious dinner, we all watched The Hunger Games. The event was very enjoyable and considered a great event!
October 2012: During the month of October, SAAC planned their service event, which will actually take place during the upcoming months. SAAC plans to adopt two children from an angel tree. Over the next two months, the Chapter will collect items for those two children.
November 2012: For SAAC's social event, TriCity members of SAAC traveled to Knoxville, TN to join the Knoxville members to celebrate the University of Tennessee - Knoxville's homecoming. They met and watched the UT vs. Troy football game, enjoyed a few games of pool, and, of course, consumed some great food. SAAC is looking forward to more events in Knoxville, TN.
In addition to the social event, SAAC hosted a roundtable discussion after one of the Epsilon Xi Chapter meetings.
