Omari Daniels (born 13 May 1990) is an Alumni of Beta Mu Chapter (BM 472) at George Washington University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Omari began attending George Washington University in the Fall of 2008 after graduating from Benjamin Banneker High School. After receiving an email about the Phi Sigma Pi fraternity and seeing that it was more academic based than social, Animal House style based, he decided to rush that following spring, later received a bid invitation to become an initiate, and began the Initiate Process (along with other future Alpha Zetas Marybeth Benton and Sharmeen Hussein, who also lived on the Mount Vernon Campus) for the spring semester. After completing the necessary requirements to become a brother, along with other members of the Alpha Zeta class, Omari was inducted as a brother.

He graduated from the University with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Journalism & Mass Communication in May 20, 2012.

Collegiate Years at Beta Mu Chapter

Alumni Chair for the 2010-2011 Year.

Served as the Corresponding Secretary and Regional Delegate/ICR Chair for the 2011-2012 year.

Bigs and Littles

Omari currently three littles. His previous big, Gabrielle Azulay, of the Alpha Gamma class, became an inactive member in the fall of 2009. His previous little, Andrew Vu, of the Alpha Eta class, dropped from the Initiate Program in fall of 2009 due to other commitments. However, in Spring of 2010 he took Curtis Davis of the Alpha Theta class under his wing. During the Fall semester of 2010, he took Ryan Corkery of the Alpha Kappa class as a little and in the Fall of 2011, they both took Alex Bossone as a co-big pair.

Other Interesting Facts

Omari is a Washington, D.C. native- despite not being a Redskins or Nationals fan. He has interned at the National Gallery of Art in the summer of 2007. He normally speaks before thinking and has a passion for anything video game, comic book, television, movie, book, all facets of geek related activity. He has spent the past two years traveling to VCU for the Alpha Sigma Chapter's formal. He was named most responsible during the final meeting of the Spring 2009 semester, which he is still on the fence about whether that is a good or bad thing. He currently works as a Production Assistant in the Book TV Department at C-SPAN.

Post Graduate Life

Since graduating from the Beta Mu Chapter, Omari has remained involved in Phi Sigma Pi by joining the Capital Alumni Chapter, attending such events as Opera in the Outfield and the PSP Capital BBQ.

He attended the 2012 National Convention held in Orlando, FL and currently serves as the second Capital Alumni regional delegate alongside Karen Goodman in helping plan the 2013 Capital Region Conference at the Zeta Delta Chapter. He, Frank Garvey and Leah Gibson have already agreed that they will see that the Capital Region wins the Outstanding Regional Event Award at next year's conference.
