WICKED: The Early Years

The Western Interchapter Conference on Knowledge, Education and Development (W.I.C.K.E.D.) was started in 2000 by Karen Cohick from Gamma Phi with the help of Cullun Culp from Gamma Sigma and Nicole (Winters) Boegeman from Beta. Brothers from the three chapters, Beta, Gamma Sigma and Gamma Phi, came together and decided to create a regional event. At the 1999 National Convention in Columbus, Ohio, the idea of WICKED was born.

The first WICKED was held in St. Louis, Missouri in February of 2000. Thirty brothers from four chapters came and participated. One of the focal points of the conference was to work together to help facilitate the reactivation of Alpha Chapter. The WICKED attendees, with the help of their chapters, raised money to buy copies of the Scholar's Province to send to Alpha alumni in the hopes that they would help in the reactivation of the chapter at Central Missouri State.
