Guidelines

Please feel free to add projects as you see fit and join in tackling some of the projects as a participant. As projects are completed and reviewed please remove them from the Open Tasks section below. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to help. If you have questions click the discussion tab and leave a note so that we can help get you involved.

Open tasks

Defined Tasks

  • current NDC project Chapter In the News project is adding news articles from Google Alerts that mention a Chapter to their wiki page. The articles are already aggregated on the wiki under the In the News section so they just need to be cross referenced on the Chapter's page.
  • Create a List of Members Certified in Leadership in Action to be added to the Leadership in Action page
    • Add members from Certified Brothers to the list
    • Add a note on their individual bio page about this accomplishment
  • Chapter History Preservation project is an attempt to help complete Chapter wiki pages by finding Chapter history/information from various resources and adding it as well as reaching out to Chapters and working with them to update their own content
    • Current eboards can be found on each Chapter's portal, ex: phisigmapi.org/AlphaBeta
    • Add a Chapter template box to the bottom of each page
  • Years project adds important happenings to a wiki page for each year
  • Council chronology project: To reference and correct current discrepancies in our records of National Council members
  • List of Honorary Members

On going tasks

  • Featured Content project To find pages we can use on the front page featured content section
  • Wanted Pages, create pages and research content for current 'wanted pages'
  • Stubs: To complete partial pages labeled as stub
  • Name Changes project: To create redirects for any commonly used or maiden names for brothers to their official biographical page
  • Create Category Pages for any not yet made from this list Special:Categories (except Sample Members and Sample Chapter)
    • Directions: On the category page linked above any red links are categories that are added to the bottom of an article but don't yet have an aggregate category page. Simply click the link and create/edit the page. Please add an intro sentence explaining what type of pages use this category tag and save the page.
