The Tau Chapter Advisor is the only Alumni role that sets on the Tau Chapter Executive Council. Currently, there is one (1) Advisor that serves in the combined role of Faculty Advisor and Alumni Advisor. It is the duty of the Alumni Advisor to offer wisdom and guidance to the active Tau Brothers while the Faculty Advisor ensures that Tau Chapter remains in its respectful relation to ECU and the surrounding Greenville community.

1 Dr. Todd was invited to a dinner meeting of Tau Chapter by Dr. Flanagan. During this meeting, Dr. Flanagan suffered a fatal heart attack and Dr. Todd assumed the role of Advisor following Dr. Flanagan's death. Dr. Flanagan was serving as the National Vice President at the time of his death.
