Northeast Region Conference

The Northeast Region Conference (NERC) is the annual regional conference of the Northeast Region.

NERC 2010

History

NERC, was created as a way of allowing the chapters in the Northeast Region to gather and partake in service, scholarship, and social events, as well as foster bonds between individual brothers in different chapters. The first NERC took place at Delta Alpha on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY on April 4-6, 2002. Since then, the site has rotated through the other chapters in the region.

The 2009 Regional Conference

In 2009, NERC was held at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Mass. Held from April 17th-19th, the conference had brothers from Theta, Beta Epsilon, Beta Nu, Beta Pi, Beta Upsilon, and Epsilon Kappa in attendance. 2008-2009 Senior Region Consultant Ryan DeGuzman was also in attendance. Planning for the conference took place using Google Groups and Meebo. Housing for the conference was provided by the brothers of the Epsilon Kappa Chapter. NERC 2009 featured an Olympics style social event, a book collection service project for a local YMCA, a trip to the New England Aquarium, and a scenario-based workshop.
