The 2009 National Convention was held in Louisville, Kentucky, from August 5-9, 2009. The event was also host the annual Grand Chapter Conference.
Contents
Grand Chapter Conference
The 2009 Grand Chapter Conference considered several broad-reaching amendment proposals to the National Constitution. Of particular note:
- A new National Council position, the Vice President of Philanthropy Development was created.
- Alumni Delegates were granted full voting status at Grand Chapter.
- National Constitution Article IV was reorganized for clarity and consistency and the term Collegiate Member was adopted in lieu of "Active Member".
- The Grand Chapter adopted a resolution to recognize Helen Wilson of Kappa Chapter as the first female honoree, following the discovery of new documentation.
