Omega Chapter (Founded 21 May 1955; Reactivated 22 October 1989) was located on the campus of Gorham State Teachers College, (renamed Gorham State College in 1968, later Gorham State College of the University of Maine, then University of Maine at Portland-Gorham, now part of the University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine. The chapter was founded in 1955 when Omega Nu Epsilon Fraternity agreed to dissolve and become a chapter of Phi Sigma Pi. As part of the agreement, the chapter designations Chi and Psi were skipped so that Omega Nu Epsilon could become Omega Chapter and retain part of its original name. The chapter went inactive about 1969, most brothers becoming part of a local social fraternity, Gamma Nu.
