The Delta Kappa Chapter at the University of North Texas was founded on December 3, 1999, by John Butenschoen from the Gamma Phi chapter at University of Oklahoma.  The other founding members were Bart D. Orren, Alecia Breanne Hess, Racheal S. Miller, Elizabeth Masters, Kimberly Leann Cocherell, Lauren C. Gall, Laurie A. Cmerck, and Nealia Frazee.

The Delta Kappa Chapter (Founded December 3, 1999) is located at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. The Chapter was founded by Gamma Phi (University of Oklahoma) alumnus John Butenschoen and is a member of the Lonestar Region. The other founding members were Bart D. Orren, Alecia Breanne Hess, Racheal S. Miller, Elizabeth Masters, Kimberly Leann Cocherell, Lauren C. Gall, Laurie A. Cmerck, and Nealia Frazee.

Recruitment Events

Delta Kappa hosts a variety of events during their Recruitment week. Events range from Games nights to bowling and also some scholarship events such as dancing. Delta Kappa Chapter has also becoming famous on campus for creating the Frisbee-Football-Soccer or FFS. Delta Kappa has also introduced a new recruitment event called Get to REALLY Know the Bros to motivate interaction through ice breakers and get-to-know-you games.

Scholarship, Social, and Service Events

Regular Delta Kappa events focus around three main committees: Scholarship, Service and Social.

Scholarship events include simple get-togethers to watch documentaries and discussions, dance workshops, visiting museums, seeing musicals and even kick-boxing classes.

Service events range from building a shack for the Habitat For Humanity Shack-a-Thon, cleaning our campus, Adopt-a-Spot to helping with recruitment for Teach For America. The service committee has also created the Recycle Your Ass Off event in order to pick up items on campus that were not recycled.

Social Events have been bowling nights, tailgating at UNT football games, Pumpkin Carving parties, and Brotherhood Retreats.
